Oral communication is important because in Fashion Design, I believe that you will need to know what people want and what they like and for you to be able to share your ideas and communicate with others to develop.

  • Oral Communication is defined as a process of exchanging information, ideas, thoughts, feelings and emotions through speech signals. Through oral communication, I am able to understand the value of communication and comprehension and its’ application when it comes to interacting with myself, my peers and my surroundings. Music, just like speech, is a powerful tool of communication. It provides a means by which people can express their thoughts, present ideas, and share information through the use of a simple tune, humming of a melody, or even a rhythm or beat without the need to communicate through spoken words. As a student who’s currently taking up Audio Production, I believe that Oral Communication is a subject that can help enable me to use music as another avenue in order to inform, educate, motivate, uplift, encourage, compel and inspire my audience in a way that is not only effective but genuine as well.

Are you ready to be called a “GAME CHANGER”, if so, how can you be one?

  • Yes, I am ready to be called a “GAME CHANGER”. As we all know, a game changer is known to be someone that’s innovative, constantly challenges the norm and takes actions with both confidence and firmness in their choices and capabilities as a person. Undoubtedly, big shoes are needed to be filled with this title. Because of this, a lot of people may consequently,  tend to view such “titles” in a negative light since accompanied by these labels are high expectations, obligations and scrutiny/judgment of others. However, I, on the other hand, would like to positively view this title of being called a “Game Changer” as an opportunity to grow and hone myself both critically and creatively. How, you may ask? By being unapologetically myself, confidently expressing my opinions, sharing both my talents and knowledge to other people, and lastly, have the willingness to continuously grow and excel as an individual and as an artist, even in the midst of change and adversaries; I believe that not only can I change the game, but I can also leave a lasting and impactful mark to it as well.
