dreams ..." This quote from Raisin in the Sun is explaining how the theme dreams because of how Walter had the dream of taking care of his family and Mama took it away. Another person who had their dream taken away was Beneatha's dream. Walter took it away when he gave away all the money that would support her for school. The families dreams were corrupted by money. A situation in Fences that occurred was when Cory asked Troy why he doesn't like him. Troy responded with,"Who the hell say I got to like you? What law is there say I got to like you?" This situation supports the theme because of how Cory doesn't feel loved by Troy. It is the same with Troy and Ruby. This poem talks about how they run away to escape dreams. Cory's dreams were to play football, play in college. He had to run away from them because of Troy. He ran away and become a man. The thing catching up with him is his devil.  He stopped running and became a marine.
