A lot of what I see on social media and the internet is Trump and what he does and it's easy to be interested in it and read a little about his words and actions.

My level of interest in politics has increased with Trump in house. With Obama in house, it seemed the country was at way more peace and not being threatened every day by North Korea. With Trump, that has become an almost daily news article with more and more threats and with hatred and cockiness your mind can make a decision that it might regret and that could cause war someday. I don't know a lot about politics and whether Trump is good or bad, but I do know that War is not good and nothing good comes from it. From being in this class I expect to learn a lot about politics and government and expect to make a more educated decision about presidents and budget things with Illinois.

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington

I actually liked this movie and didn't think I would at first. Mostly because it was in black and white and I thought it would be hard to follow but it was really good. The way Mr. Smith stood up for himself against all other threats to him in office was outstanding. He was a random Boys club leader who was chosen to be the Senator. He came in blind but he learned a lot from his harsh experiences. No one thought he should've been there but he had Saunders by his side the whole time helping him. I really got into the movie when the other dude started rumors about what Mr. Smith did and Mr. Smith had to fight hard for the truth to come out. He should a lot of perseverance and courage to be standing and talking for like 9 hours or whatever the time was.

I could compare Mr. Smith to Mr. Adam Kinzinger. A Illinois representative of the Republican party. As in my earlier post about Mr. Smith, I could've thought that Mr. Smith of Washington was apart of the Republican party just like Mr. Kinzinger. I also picked Mr. Kinzinger because he was looked way younger than everyone else. This is the exact same for Mr. Smith. He was a very young Senator but had the courage to battle against the older people.
