The Community Asset Transfer Toolkit is designed to support clubs and community organisations who are planning to, or are in the process of, taking on their own facility through a Community Asset Transfer (CAT).&nbsp; The tool outlines the key stages of the CAT process and is designed to help organisations:&nbsp;</p><ul><li><p>understand what a CAT is</p></li><li><p>identify the key requirements needed to ensure they’re ready to take on a CAT</p></li><li><p>prepare effectively for a CAT and understand when professional support may be required</p></li><li><p>access guidance on how to effectively run and manage their facility after completing a CAT.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>4AIR, the aviation sustainability solutions company, has delivered a fully electric Pipistrel Velis Electro aircraft to Aerobility, marking a first-of-its-kind global initiative, for a 12-month sponsorship that brings together electric aviation, accessibility, and purpose-driven flight training. The two-seater aircraft is now based at Aerobility's HQ at Blackbushe Airport, and will be used by Aerobility to provide flight training and flying experiences for people living with disabilities. The Pipistrel Velis Electro is the world’s first certified electric-powered, zero emissions&nbsp;aircraft. Their dedicated Community Team will be delivering tailored information and skills sessions directly to community groups across Hart. These sessions are designed to reflect the unique needs of each group they work with. Sessions can be adapted our sessions to suit different audiences, ensuring the advice and support provided is both useful and impactful. Topics may include budgeting, managing debt, understanding benefits, planning for financial stability or getting online, scams and staying safe. </p><p>This project offers both one to one guidance and group learning opportunities&nbsp;in a non-judgmental and accessible way, covering:</p><ul><li><p>Preparing a household budget</p></li><li><p>How to maximise income</p></li><li><p>How to reduce expenditure (shopping around for energy, broadband, food, and other essentials)</p></li><li><p>The importance of opening a bank account and, where possible, saving for a rainy day</p></li><li><p>The importance of avoiding high-cost credit and dealing with debts proactively</p></li><li><p>Recognising and avoiding scams and financial abuse</p></li><li><p>Knowing where to find timely help.          <description><![CDATA[<p>NAVCA, our umbrella organisation, has just launched a<mark> </mark><a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.navca.org.uk/devolution-lgr"><mark>new website</mark></a><mark> </mark>to help our sector and the public sector learn more about local government organisation and devolution, with good examples of how the voluntary and community sector are engaging with the process. This will be run alongside a dedicated campaign in partnership with the Local Government Association to get resources to local councils and the six new strategic authorities in the devolution priority areas, including Hampshire &amp; Solent. &nbsp;We at HVA will also keep you updated on the latest news and how this might affect our local voluntary and community sector in the north of Hampshire. </p><p><em>It was announced on 25 March that Local Government Reorganisation will result in 4 unitary authorities for mainland Hampshire + the Isle of Wight. Hart will become part of North Hampshire along with Basingstoke &amp; Deane and Rushmoor. With the number of young carers engaged with the service on track to reach 200 this year, the need to raise their profile is greater than ever. The aim is to raise awareness of what the Hart &amp; Rushmoor Young Carers service provides, to help communication with young carers and their wider family, and to improve some of the practical arrangements of managing young carers' off-site activities. This event is particularly focusing on support for young adults aged 17-30 years, and their wider family and friendship group.  An app for the event is also being developed to keep people interested in this event up to date with who will be there on the day. These sessions are open to anyone living with dementia, their family, carers and friends.&nbsp; There is no need to tell them in advance that you plan to attend, so please just come along on any Wednesday - 1.30-3.30 at Hartley Wintney Football Club. The&nbsp;sessions are run by a professional music facilitator and there is a charge of £5 per session for either someone coming alone or for two people attending together.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Local volunteer led groups, social enterprises, and other not-for-profit organisations can apply for grants of up to £3,500 to deliver cycling events to get people back on their bikes this summer.</p><p>The Big Bike Revival Programme will support organisations across England to deliver a summer programme of activity that will encourage people who do not currently cycle to consider either starting or returning to cycling.</p><p>This includes people experiencing:</p><p>· social, economic and health deprivation</p><p>· people from diverse backgrounds</p><p>· those facing complex challenges</p><p>The programme supports three types of events:</p><p>· Fix Events – offers basic services to repair cycles and provides essential checks to ensure cycles are safe to ride</p><p>· Learn Events – offers instruction, training or skills for adults to learn to maintain or repair their cycle or learn cycle skills to help them feel safer when cycling</p><p>· Ride Events – offers led rides for adults to practise cycling locally</p><p>The funding, which is made available by the Department for Transport, can be spent on anything that supports the delivery of events such as staffing, promotional costs, equipment, consumables and volunteer transport.</p><p>The closing date for applications is 1 June 2026.
