This project offers both one to one guidance and group learning opportunities in a non-judgmental and accessible way, covering:

• Preparing a household budget

• How to maximise income

• How to reduce expenditure (shopping around for energy, broadband, food, and other essentials)

• The importance of opening a bank account and, where possible, saving for a rainy day

• The importance of avoiding high-cost credit and dealing with debts proactively

• Recognising and avoiding scams and financial abuse

• Knowing where to find timely help. This can help prevent crisis situations in future, whether linked to health or other life challenges

What the event is about

Growing up and preparing for adulthood can feel confusing, overwhelming or full of barriers, especially if you are neurodivergent, managing health needs, or have had a tough time with confidence or connection. What if every young person could imagine a future that feels exciting, possible and truly theirs, no matter their needs, strengths or story?

At the Inclusive Pathways event, you will hear from some inspiring keynote speakers from 2pm.  At 3pm, your students, young people and their families are invited to join the main part of the event where you’ll find a space designed with young people in mind to:

• Visit stands from education, technology and wellbeing partners.

• Meet employers offering real opportunities like tasters, behind‑the‑scenes visits and micro‑placements.

• Explore different pathways into work, college or training.

This isn’t a typical careers fair, it’s an interactive, energising, “see what’s possible” event.

The Big Bike Revival Programme will support organisations across England to deliver a summer programme of activity that will encourage people who do not currently cycle to consider either starting or returning to cycling.

This includes people experiencing:

· social, economic and health deprivation

· people from diverse backgrounds

· those facing complex challenges

The programme supports three types of events:

· Fix Events – offers basic services to repair cycles and provides essential checks to ensure cycles are safe to ride

· Learn Events – offers instruction, training or skills for adults to learn to maintain or repair their cycle or learn cycle skills to help them feel safer when cycling

· Ride Events – offers led rides for adults to practise cycling locally

The funding, which is made available by the Department for Transport, can be spent on anything that supports the delivery of events such as staffing, promotional costs, equipment, consumables and volunteer transport.
