How do the dynamics of power play out in this scenario? Who has power and why? How is power being abused in this scenario?

The dynamic powers are diverse in this video here, featuring Bianca and Nick. In the first scenario where the dynamic of power was depicted, Biannca was forcing her friend Mel into taking off her jumper which exposed more skin to fit the “vibe” of the party. Due to peer pressure, Mel reluctantly agreed due to Biannca being the host of the party. The second scenario where dynamic power is displayed is when Nick hugs Mel without consent and isolates her in an empty room.

Power can be positively utilised by Bianca to ensure a safe and secure environment for everything at the party, this means that there will be no forceful actions that lead to making others feel uncomfortable. Additionally, Nick should respect Mel's boundaries. Mel should prioritise her well-being over peer pressure. Respecting boundaries fosters a safe, respectful environment for all.

The ‘trust your gut instinct’ means trusting these feelings of intuition, often as a way to stay true to yourself. This expression was not displayed in the video, but rather the opposite. In the first scenario, Mel felt uncertain about removing her jacket, succumbing to peer pressure to please the host. Similarly, when Nick unexpectedly hugged Mel during a group photo, she felt uncomfortable but allowed it to avoid disrupting the moment.

There is no cure for herpes, so those people with herpes will be infected for the rest of their lives. Though the virus is rarely fatal for the majority of those infected, it is still dangerous for pregnant women. A virus flare-up during pregnancy raises the chance of premature labour, and an unborn child can get a fatal infection in the womb. However, regular use of antiviral medications can prevent or shorten epidemics. Antiviral medications can also help to limit the risk of the virus spreading to others.
