Life science is the study of life and living things. Living things are also called organisms. Life science is often referred to as biology. Life scientists work in many different settings, from classrooms to labs to natural habitats. The science of life studies the most simple single cell organisms to the most complex, such as the human body. This has been instrumental in figuring out how species live and die in our world and how we can best take care of ourselves and the living world around us.
