- Seed Bank is literally a bank that stores seeds. Just as a actual bank is used to save money when the situation is easygoing and then take it out again when it is needed, Seed Bank also saves seeds to prevent the case that plant might extinct due to nuclear war, extreme weather, or unpredictable disaster. Like Noah's Ark, the robustness of the bank itself is very important so that it can withstand  nuclear explosions, massive catastrophes and natural disasters that could hit Earth. 

Seed bank organizes and stores seeds by variety, so that they can be supplied to the farmers who want to cultivate them at any time, and developed varieties of plant  with enormous costs can be prevented from being pushed to extinction by new varieties. It also serves to preserve the useful gene of each varieties of plant.

Seed bolts are also important to revitalize basic research on plants. Since the seeds of many plants are stored, it is easy to secure seeds for research, and it also provides basic information of seeds such as  germination conditions.

* Are there efforts being made in the Philippines to establish a seed bank? 
- For now there were no news about national seed bank in Philippine, but some projects to make an organic seed bank is trying to active for the supplement purposes of seeds to farmers.

Don’t you think it is important to give everyone a picture of what a seed is, and what’s inside of it?
- Honestly i don't think it's essential for the people who's not in science field to know about it but knowing how various seeds germinate could give some insights to people because the method of seeds development is a product of thousand millions of years of evolution.
