Dal, Bati Churma is a native dish form Rajasthan, which is where my family came from. It is delicious and full of flavour. Folklore says that it was during one of the war days when a cook accidentally poured sugarcane juice into the Baati that the Choorma was found. Other tales tell of homemakers who would keep the Baatis in sugar/jaggery water in an attempt to keep the Baatis fresh for their husbands which eventually became Choorma.
Its eaten by crushing the Bati and adding Dal and choorma to it and mixing them all together. Then its eaten with garlic chutney and papad. The savoury flavours of bati and dal mixed with the sweetness of choorma and the crunchiness of papad gives a divine taste experience.

              ARISHKA DALMIA 3K

Puran Poli is a popular Maharashtrian flatbread that I had on my trip to Aurangabad, a city in Marathwada. Puran means sweet filling and Poli means Roti or flatbread. The delicious filling is made out of chana dal and jaggery. I tried it with Aamti that is the pulp of mango. The practice of making Puran Poli, during the Holi festival in Maharashtra likely has its roots in the festival's agricultural origins as a harvest festival. Puran poli contains way more nutritional value than any other sweet. It is a good source of fibre and also Vitamins A, B and D.

ANAAYA AGARWAL 3K

In Switzerland, fondue means cheese fondue (not chocolate, which, surprisingly, was only served at the really touristy places). Typically, it’s a combination of Swiss cheeses, such as Gruyere and Emmenthaler. The cheeses are accompanied by a dry white wine called Fendant and cornstarch. It’s then cooked over a flame and served in a small, communal, clay pot called a caquelon.
Fun Fondue Facts

Fondue is the French word for “melted.”
Fondue forks are usually different colors so everyone can keep track of their fork.

No double dipping is allowed!

ARHHAN DOSHI 3K

Their food is very fresh and wherever you eat you will find a vegetarian and a vegan option. Some food that originated there are listed below:

Terrific Tasty TimTams -
Tim Tams are an Australian chocolate coated biscuit that are crunchy outside and soft inside. Australian people love to pair their Tim Tams with coffee. They come in different flavours of chocolate and you can even eat them for a snack.

Very Strange Vegemite -
Vegemite is a very strange jam for me. It is made out of vegetables and yeast and it is very salty. Australian people spread Vegemite on toast as a snack and some chefs use it to flavour soups.

PerryGood Pavlova -
Pavlova is a famous dessert of Australia. It is made out fruit, meringue and cream. Also with the Pavlova you can have a dollop of ice-cream on the side.
