2.) Getting Mentor from someone in the Police foundation could give me a lot of guidance especially on developing skills, motivation, setting goals and many more, since they have more experience than me

I will choose ECE two year diploma course.

2. How will you benefit from being paired with a Mentor from your chosen diploma? What learning are you expecting from this collaboration?

I was able to learn the knowledge of this course from the tutor, and I can know more clearly the future development direction of this profession.

 

I hope to learn how to get along with children and their parents, and to understand their psychology and behavior.

 

In addition, I also hope to cooperate with other professional fields, such as psychology, personal care, community service, ect.

 

3. What are the qualities of a good Mentee?

I think patience is needed. Because it takes a lot of time to learn a new course, and there will be many problems, when you encounter problems, you should find a way to deal with them, rather than give up halfway.

 

On the other hand, we should respect different people's opinions. Everyone's ideas may different.If you encounter different opinions, you should listen to them first and don't directly object to your own position. Try to accept different ideas.

 

The diploma of my choice is the Early Childhood Education program. I choose the ECE program because I love to work with kids. I have the desire to assist the children’s development. That’s why I chose the ECE diploma program.

There are several benefits that I will get from being paired with a mentor: the experiences that mentor has, the lesson that mentor is learning from his/her experiences, the skills that mentor has. I’m expecting to learn how to handle the situation from my mentor's experience; I’ll try to avoid the mistakes that mentor had before; I’m also learning from the positive attitude and academic performance that mentor demonstrates. Those are what I am expecting from this collaboration.

A good mentee will have some qualities like respect, good listening, and initiative. First and the most important quality is respect: respect the mentor, respect the mentor’s work and experiences. The second one is having good listening skills. The last one is initiative: initiate to absorb the knowledge that the mentor has, initiate to ask the questions, and initiate to communicate with the mentor. Those are the qualities that I think a good mentee should have.

There are several benefits  that I will get from being paired with a mentor. Mentor can help me make decisions concerning my future. A mentor can also discuss their own experiences and what skills are required in this field of study. Overall, I'm eager to learn from the mentor's good approach and academic performance.That is what I am hoping to get out of this collaboration

3.What are the qualities of good Mentee 

 

 Respect, dependability, a positive mindset, and Strong communication are all characteristics of a successful mentee. The person you are will be determined only by your ability to use these skills.
