My undergrad degree was in video game design, and I also have Masters degrees in TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages) and English Composition. I am a super Disney, Star Wars, and Marvel nerd, and of course I love playing video games as a hobby. Over the winter break, I played about 60 hours of "Unicorn Overlord" on the Nintendo Switch. I am starting "Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door" as my relax game this quarter.

This is my second semester at De Anza and my major is Computer science (in fact I'm still hesitant to change next semester). My study goal is to transfer to four-year universities such as UCB, UCD and UCI.

I have many favorite interests, such as listening to music and singing, traveling and even writing songs. When I was a high school student in China, I released several songs on music platforms and performed at school entertainment parties, which is also the most interesting thing that's ever happened to me.

A fun fact about myself is I am more of an inside person who wants to spend time with myself more than with people. I enjoy doing HW with some music on my side, and I love studying history on the internet.

Note about the picture above: This picture was taken in Vietnam. It is a hidden gem cafe that I found in my country. When it rains, you can get a decent view and enjoy the coffee. Also, I am not photogenic, so I like to use something that connects me as a way to introduce myself.

I have a dog, a Pomsky named ‘Doori.’ She is a mix of Pomeranian and Husky, and she is almost 2 years old. She is still a puppy, so she is very energetic. I enjoy various activities at home with my family, such as reading books, listening to music, cooking, baking, watching series, playing Nintendo games, playing with my dog, and taking naps. I also enjoy hanging out with friends and trying new foods or restaurants. I love traveling and the beach. During this winter break, I bought a Nintendo Switch game, Minecraft Dungeons. During this winter break, my main interest was leveling up in games. But now that the new quarter has started, I’ve returned to my role as a student. I’m kind of shy, but I’m a good listener and I enjoy hearing other people’s stories, especially ones I haven’t experienced myself.

About myself—

Fun fact about me: I learned English by playing video games with global people.

I am a foodie and I love traveling. I am quite into sports. Baseball is one of my favorites. Now it is not the baseball season, and I am planning to go snowboarding.

One fun fact about me is that I use my right hand for baseball throwing/batting, but when it comes to tennis, I switch to the left hand! I am still figuring with which foot I am comfortable to lead on the snowboard.

I came from China, obviously I can speak mandarin. My major is CS, and I believe there must be many guys study in this major like me in this class lol. Also I plan to transfer to a four years university after I finishing the course at de anza.

I just fell in love with skiing this winter vacation.

Although it’s challenging to learn and requires a lot of effort, the experience is totally worth it once you can control the snowboard with ease.

My name is Thi Le, and my pronoun is she/her. We have one more Thi Le in this class, so you can call me " Mimi ".

I'm from Dong Nai, Vietnam, and I have been here for 2 years.

I speak Vietnamese, my mother language, and I also can speak basic English.

I'm in my first year at De Anza College, majoring in biology, and my goal is to transfer to SJSU. I want to become a dentist.

I'm working part-time as a DA ( dental assistant), and I work in the " Taylor Dental" in downtown San Jose.

My favorite food is Tacos, and I usually eat tacos in Spartan Tacos Truck.

In my free time, I enjoy dancing to K-pop music or trendy music like TikTok. Also, on the weekend, my Vietnamese friend and I often hang out to get a boba, study, or play badminton.

I'm from China so my first language is Chinese. I started learning English since grade 3 in elementary school. In fact, I didn't really start practicing English until I came to the United States. From 2019 to now, my English has improved a lot, but I am still a little afraid of reading in English. A more accurate word than fear is impatience.

My major is graphic design, my main goal is to get high GPA and transfer to a great art school.

This is a picture of my bored face I took on the Caltrain, I take train to school every Tuesday and Thursday because I live so far away! My apartment is in downtown San Francisco.

Fun facts about me: I'm good at Chinese cook and love preparing traditional dishes! In my free time, I enjoy watching anime and playing video games like Honor of Kings and Super Mario. I'm also fascinated by marine life and make it a point to visit aquariums at least once a year. At home, I have an adorable cat who keeps me company!

My major is Business and I am looking forward to transfer to a 4-year university.I am a regular guy,when I have a free time I like reading books,working out and playing basketball.I like walking at the parks listening to podcasts,wathcing movies and I am kind of a car guy.Nothing special.

I am from Brazil, but I lived in Canada for 10 years before moving to the Bay Area in 2023. I speak Portuguese and English.

I am doing my Major in Psychology, and I took Communication classes as well because I believe it is extremely important for my career goals.

A fun fact about myself is that I go to Burning Man every year. It is a very special and spiritual place for me!

I was born and raised in Seoul, Korea, but I have also lived in China for about 6 years. My first language is Korean, and I speak English as my second language. I am trying to learn Japanese and Chinese also.

My major is journalism, and I am currently in my second quarter at De Anza. I am planning to transfer to a 4-year university.

My goal of this college is to transfer to UC Berkeley as Data Science Major. So, I need to learn academic Englishd, learge area of math, basic programing. And also, I really want to study social issues to apply data science skills. During this winter break, I enjoyed "SQUID GAME SEASON 2". It was so excited and new experience for me. The other hand, I really like to write short novel to deal with my emotions.

Fun facts about me: I'm fond of rock climbing and usually go to Movement Santa Clara three three times a week. I am a crazy fan of Christopher Nolan whose films often challenge audiences' perceptions. I can play acoustic, bass, drum set and electric guitars. Best-loved music is R&B.
