Between 2004 and 2009, he functioned as the chairman and chief executive officer of Noble Environmental Power in Essex, Connecticut, a position that involved the oversight of wind power projects in areas including New England, Michigan, and Texas.

A physics graduate of Miami University, he leads an active lifestyle away from his work as an executive in the energy sector. A few of his preferred pastimes include playing tennis and refining his skills as an astrophotographer, which involves taking pictures of astronomical objects and celestial events.
