Topic: Harry Potter and the role of mothers

The research project I was assigned asked me to look at a young adult book series and to discuss its relevance to an adult audience. I loved Harry Potter growing up, so I first jus started a Google Search with the terms "Harry Potter" research. There were A TON of hits, but as I started sifting through some of them, I remembered that some of my favorite characters from the series were strong female characters. Topic: Protecting the Environment 

So, for my research project I was asked to choose from either a historic or contemporary subject. I find history pretty boring so I chose from the contemporary subject because it has topics that discuss things that are happening now and are important and should be recognized as that. I chose protecting the environment because I love taking care of the earth and I do realize how important our environment is to us. I've seen and met many people who disrespect the earth in many ways.
