As the practitioner, you should value the child's home language. Around the classroom their should be activities in the child's home language and in the additional language of English.
For the child, they will express themselves better when they are speaking their own language, so it is important that in the setting we maintain that and then when the child has settled in, then teach them a few simple words in which will help us as practitioners. 
It must be understood that a young child may find it had to adjust from one language to another at a young age therefore extra time and patience may be needed its helpful if we can try to understand their language but at the same time they need to be encouraged to speak the English language so they can communicate among other children.

The benefits of children of bilingualism is that the child can maintain using their home language and learn a different language such as; English. 
These activities will promote the child's home language as well as promoting the English language. 
With their cognitive development, their brains will be more active and more flexible because they will swapping from their home language to the English language to communicate with others. 
Raised learning the language of their culture so are able to communicate within the family. If English is their second language they are able to understand and communicate within the classroom and social activities therefore they make good progress and at the same time may help the family. If parents only speak their mother tongue the children are a great help and act as an interpreter. Inclusive practice simply means that the diversity of individuals and communities is valued and respected. No child or family is discriminated by.
Adults will work in partnership with families to enable that their child is in a secure environment and inclusive. Adults will do this by either getting an bilingual teacher in the school so child and the family could talk to someone who understands their language and if they have any problems they could go to someone.

Respecting and valuing the home language of children, they would be able to learn at their own paste, in their own language they will understand more on what we as the practitioners are asking them to do, whether that is in class or an activity to take home. 
However when the parents aren't learning the English language with the child, it can be quite confusing for the child as well. The child would then not know which language to speak whenever he or she goes. 
When it comes to learning and developing within the school the child may find it difficult because majority of the time the practitioners will be speaking the English language therefore it is key for the child to learn that work sheets is a dual language work sheet so the child can understand the English language a bit better by following it in their own language. 
Equally I think it is important for the practitioners to learn basic words in the child's language so they can understand what they are feeling and what is wrong also if they need anything.

Firstly, as the practitioner I would get the bilingual teacher in which try and communicate between the practitioner and the parent, with the child the practitioner should send home activities in which the child and the parents can join in with. (which is linked in with P2).
From a child newly in the area and just starting school, there will be transition days within the setting in which the parents are welcome too. From this the parents will get the know the teachers and the surroundings of the school and know where their child is going to be. However the practitioner should also learn a few basic words such as; hello & how are you just to start a conversation. This will help the parents feel more relax and more willing to ask questions.
There are different policies within the school setting which involves the child and things in which are done if anything goes wrong.
