The positioning of the colours within the window means that they are spread out evenly so not drawing attention to one part but to the window as a whole , the hanging shoes particularly helped add the finishing touches to this. The only thing that we think would improve the distribution of colours and the way they flow would be if we had a yellow strobe light to put in the right corner and if the middle red light was stronger because the blue one seems brighter. 

We did find it very hard to blend the paint evenly when painting it on, using sponges helped but still wasn’t ideal. If we had a bigger budget and more time we should have either used spray paint, an airbrush or got our ombre digitally printed as a wall sticker which would’ve looked much smoother and also would’ve been glossy which would match our white vinyl flooring and also add another dynamic to the walls because they would be reflecting the lights and surroundings more, further emphasizing our concept of energy. Originally , we were going to paint the floor ombre aswell but with the colours going the opposite way so as to create a dynamic of different directions within the window, symbolizing active wear and energy. However, since we found the blending of the ombre challenging and we also had a tight schedule, we decided to cover the floor in white vinyl , we were pleased with how it looked, it felt modern and matched the style of the mannequins but also kept the focus on them instead of drawing the eye to the floor which I feel that an ombre floor might’ve done. 

Which brings me onto the fact that the mannequins weren’t able to wear our chosen shoes for the outfits because the spigots were going through the feet, this was out of our control and quite annoying but at least it lead me to having the idea of hanging the shoes from the ceiling by their laces which looked youthful, fun and made them decorations rather than shoes. At first we had picked the khaki coloured wooden armed mannequins because all of the white mannequins left were a but too abstract to us however the khaki ones looked too old fashions so we managed to swap with another group and use these semi-realistic mannequins with orange and blue face paints which matched our colour scheme perfectly and looked quite hip meaning it would appeal to our target audience of students and young adults. The only criticism we had of them was that their poses didn’t collaborate very well together but simply pushing them together to made it look as if they were somehow interacting better. Ideally, our window would have mannequins with much sportier poses and it would also look cool if their skin was light blue.

The sporty outfits really bought the whole window together and helped emphasize our message of energy, the outfit on the left was more blue but had orange accessories and face paint which mixed in some warm colours , the right outfit was more red and orange but had some blue elements aswell as the blue Nikes so al the colours balanced out. We were particularly pleased with how we made the best out of a bad situation regarding the wigs which ended up looking very effective.
