Hello, I was just wondering what happens if I don’t want to start work straight away and take some time out? Do I still apply for my pin straight away or do I delay that too?

There are not many band 5 jobs around currently, what can we do to try and find opportunities, most hospitals are not currently funding for staff. Which feels unfair when we have completed all this work and cannot even choose where we start our nursing career.

I am going to start working in my band 5 role at the end of October. When i finish my degree how long do i have until i have to apply for my Pin? For example can i still work as a healthcare up until the middle of septemeber and then apply for my pin and begin my band 5 role once my pin is back. Or do i have to apply for my pin as soon as i finish my degree?
