The first main event in the Bible is the story of creation. God created the Heaven and the Earth in 7 days. On the first day, God created lights and separated it from darkness. On the second day, he made sky and the sea. The third day he made land. On the fourth day he made the sun, moon, and stars in the sky. The fifth day was the day he made birds and fish, while he made animals and humans in the sixth day. The seventh day was a day of rest, called the sabbath.

In the Garden of Eden, God created Adam, the first human. He asked Adam to name all of the animals one by one. Then God took one of Adam’s ribs to create a companion for him, Eve. In the garden were 2 trees, the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. A snake deceived Eve into eating from the tree of knowledge, and Eve also made Adam do it. God then saw that they ate from the tree because since then they were naked, which was a sign of innocence, but now they weren’t. God banished the, from the garden and left them to roam the Earth and fend for themselves.

Adam and Eve had children who were Cain and Able. Cain was older than Able, and because of this God gave his major blessing to Able while Cain got his minor blessing. This is because God favors the young over the old. Cain got jealous and angry at Able because he got the major blessing instead of him. Cain took Able into the forest and jumped him. Able soon died to Cain and when God found out he cursed Cain to be a forever wanderer. To prevent people killing Cain, God also gave him a blessing that if he was killed he would get revenge. Adam and Eve soon had a son named Seth.

When Moses grew older he noticed the horrors that the king put on his people, he even killed a guard out of frustration. He ran from Egypt out of fear of getting caught.

While Moses was staying in Midian, he saw a burning bush in the distance. The burning bush was a theophany, or a physical representation of God. As he got to the burning bush, God told him to take his sandals off since it was holy ground. Moses obliged to God and started conversing with him. God instructed Moses to free his people and gave him a special staff as equipment. Moses said he couldn’t because of his speech impediment, but God enlisted Aaron to speak for him. After Ramses II declined, he made the work harder for the Chosen People. Then God sent 10 plagues, the final plague was one that killed everyone's firstborn sons unless they had a sign of lamb’s blood over their doorway, creating Passover. After the plagues Moses took the people and ran, they got to the Red Sea/Sea of Reeds and were being surrounded. Moses used his staff to split the river and lead the Chosen People through it.

Moses asked God for help and God said to strike the rock once with his staff and water would come out of it. Moses stroked the rock but water didn’t come out, so he stroked it a second time which could be considered as defying God due to impatience. The second time water came out and the Chosen People drank. But there was another problem, they felt like God wasn’t with them and wanted to see him firsthand, so they started complaining again.

God mad the commandments and gave them to Moses. Moses went down to give them the commandments when he saw the Chosen People worshiping a golden calf, this offended Moses and God because the Chosen People have fallen into idolatry, which means instead of worshiping God they are worshiping a false god. It turned out the Chosen People asked Aaron to make them a god and he agreed. God was furious and rained down snakes to hurt them, Moses being a man of faith told God not to do that and calmed him down. God gave Moses a bronze snake that saved the chosen people when they looked upon it, which is a representation of Jesus on the cross who saved everyone.

Solomon did not follow the wisdom God gave him, Solomon married pagan wives who corrupted him, He built them Temples and He worshiped their pagan gods, falling into idolatry. God warned Solomon twice, tried to convert him and Solomon did not respond
“Since this has been your mind and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you and will give it to your servant. Yet for the sake of David your father, I will not do it in your days, but I will tear it out of the hand of your son.” God keeps his promise to David, Solomon will go to his grave knowing he failed as a king (not a
peaceful transition of power and kingship to his heir). Solomon had heavily taxed the people to pay for his temple and the
ones for his wives.
i.
