The three phases of DD are Mining, Landscaping, and Building. We can use these to solve problems greater or smaller than us effectively and long-lasting. These things should in fact be sustainable in a cycle. Change is always going to be happening, it's connected to everything, and through these phases we should understand that it's going to be difficult, but since the future is never certain it's something we should constantly work at. (DDM HB Pg. 9)

This idea sticks out to me simply because my entire life I have always been told you have to make new. Instead of digging deep and understanding the layers of the problem in order to develop ideas and implement ideas with the support of old ideas. The picture chosen is a random microorganism because you have to truly look deep in order to understand their complexity.

A lot of problems are going to become a goop before they become something different or beautiful just like a butterfly.

This really sticks out to me because our world slowly changes. It's not a massive 180 overnight. Progression is caused by the small and continuous efforts of many. In chemistry we have been learning about particles. Through micro efforts we can see a new element formed by simply emitting a beta particle.
