In my personal opinion, co-curricular activities are not a waste of time, and for many reasons. The reasons are as the following:
1. Co-curricular activities help letting students who wouldn't normally bond in class bond with others.
- In school, there are bound to be some students who are introverts, people who would keep their feelings, and thoughts to only themselves, hiding silently and erasing their own existence in the dark corner of the class. With co-curricular activities, these students would be able to bond with others, though slowly, but actually more effectively than usual classes.
2. Co-curricular makes school life even more interesting and provides true learning experience within the school.
- As a students, we are bound to be bored after 7 HOURS OF CLASS!!! Therefore, we need "FUN" to sustain ourselves and not be turned into depressed little (Censored). With co-curricular activities, we can get to stretch ourselves and recharge from the 7 hours of mundane lectures. We get to learn things other than academic topics and discover things that we wouldn't be able to in the usual lectures. Such as, hobby, personality, characteristic traits, strength, weakness and more.
3. Co-curricular activities can help us boost morality, teamwork, and cooperative capabilities. Therefore preparing us for the society of the future.
- As we all know, co-curricular clubs have their own systems with positions implemented within them. With these positions, the selected students with then get to experience the burden and the duty of the particular position that they are in. With that, they will be prepared if the particular position is applied to them again in the future, making them more valuable than others due to experience. The same as the point that I mentioned, the activities held in co-curricular clubs is able to give the students experience in team working, cooperating and leading. With those skills implemented into them, they would not struggle whenever there is a group project, and in the best case scenario, they would be able to finish the work swiftly without needing to communicate as much since they would know their duties and what they need to do.
