The lion represents Britain. The lion is sitting on Gandhi's lap as if it were a pet. He is being gently with the lion, he will use the salt march to win the acceptance and perhaps the affection of his enemy.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Gandhi has addressed the British by telling them to treat him like a regular person. He spent 2,339 days in jail. He asked the Magistrate to give him a heavy penalty because he wanted the same punishment as everyone else. This jail time allowed Gandhi to show he was willing to be punished for his cause. It showed people he was serious about his cause and was determined to succeed. </div>]]></description>
