*When it comes to food, I love it all, but any type of chicken is probably my favorite because it goes great with anything and everything!
*I like just about all music, screamo excluded, but recently I have been listening to a lot of 90s alternative.
*My closest family member was my grandmother, May because she raised me for 18 years. Unfortunately, 8 years ago she passed from cancer.
*My main hobbies are skateboarding, yoga, rock climbing, traveling, and eating.
*Throughout the summer semester I took 6 classes because I was uninformed that classes in the summer that were only 4, 6, or 8 weeks were more intense. My greatest accomplishment was not only surviving but making the Dean's list.
*My end goal is to become a school counselor, possibly even opening my own private practice. This is something I am so passionate about because I want to be the person that adolescent Mackenzie desperately needed.
*When/if the pandemic is officially over, I am most looking forward to having the ability to travel at my leisure again.

- My current hobby is baking, I tend to pick up new things when I’m stressed to distract myself and I have found baking to be fun and distressing. Plus, you get a delicious dessert at the end.
- My best accomplishment of last semester would be working through a tough mental health situation and feeling better about school.
- I am pursuing a job in education. I am passionate about it because there are a lot of issues happening in education right now but teachers help children learn about the world and develop and it is really important to me to be one of those leaders for kids.
- When the pandemic is finally over I want to actually go to a concert and feel good about it/not anxious. I loved going to concerts before but now I feel reserved about it.
- One specific goal I have about learning in this class is to be able to use techniques to help educate people like my dad about misinformation in the news and be able to share those tools with others.

For most of my life, I lived in Granville, Ohio with my family. From 2016-2019, I was in Texas until I graduated high school. My mom, dad, brother, and sister all graduated from college.

My favorite movie has always been Terminator 2: Judgement Day. It has the action, a great story, likeable characters, a scary villain, and amazing effects that stand to this day.

Out of all of my family members including extended family, I feel the closest to my cousin Matthew. I spent a lot of time with him and many of my other cousins on special occasions such as Christmas, and he is in the same field that I am pursuing which is teaching.

One thing that I like doing is occasionally make some ice cream. I have been doing this since late 2021 it has been a fun experience so far.

Finishing Organic Chemistry I successfully is a major accomplishment. the exams were very difficult and waiting for the grade was stressful.

I am pursuing a teaching career, specifically 7-12 grade that focuses on science or math. I do like history and opened to teaching that subject. I want to help kids with understanding and interest them with the opportunities within the STEM field.

For the most part, I have been going out more and most places do not require a facemask, so it feels normal for now at least.

Learning more about societal issues and thinking about potential solutions I feel would be really great to hear. Dive into the history of certain problems and how they have evolved over time to where we are now.

For the most part, I am able to complete online work and figure out what I need to do before the deadline, but I will ask through email for any clarification.

I have a sweet English black lab named Nya, who just celebrated her 12th birthday last week and she is the absolute best!
I'm a movie fanatic and I'm always looking for new recommendations, but I think my favorite movie is probably Us, Gone Girl, or Lion. I'm also a huge Harry Styles fan and have loved him since One Direction.
The family member I am probably closest to is my little sister (16). We used to bicker a lot when we were younger, but as we have both gotten older we've realized how similar we are and really created a strong bond.
Some hobbies include: playing with my dog, listening to music, doing yoga, hiking, and reading a good book.
This past semester was probably my hardest one at OSU thus far, due to schedules and course content, but I'm glad to say that I made it through.
I am a pre-Occupational Therapy and I am applying to grad programs right now, to hopefully become a Doctor of Occupational Therapy. My goal is to work in pediatrics with kids with special needs, most likely outpatient facilities.
I think one thing I'm looking forward to when the pandemic is over is being able to see my grandparents freely.

Another talent of mine is that I play golf and I’m a student athlete here at the Ohio State. My best accomplishment last year was being named All American for golf.
The career that I’m pursuing is professional golf but after that I really want to spark interest in kids to play golf when they grow up. I’m passionate about how kids process information and also golf. Combining the two makes a dream job for me in the future. I’ve had experience teaching kids over the summer and it’s something that I really want to pursue in the future.

-My closest family member to me is probably either of my grandmas. I love them both so much and have such a special connection with them.
-Something unique about me is that I can speak, read, and write Greek! Always learning but I am proud of the progress I have made in my journey with it. My boyfriend and my best friend are both Greek and I have spent a lot of time in Greece and plan to move there once I finish school.
-An accomplishment last semester that I am proud of is that I took 5 classes and they were all at the accelerated pace and I started and finished strong despite it being very difficult!
-I am majoring in HDFS and minoring in Global Public Health and feel very passionately about health and social issues. I think GPH and HDFS combine a lot of those issues and makes me feel very passionate and optimistic about making a difference in the world.

- A talent of mine is that I have been riding horses for the last 13 years and have trained off track Thoroughbreds for two years
-I think my best accomplishment last semester was just getting through it and being happy with where I was since I had recently changed my major

-I am hoping to be a high school history teacher. I am passionate about this because I think that teaching the honest truth no matter how uncomfortable is so important for people so that they can become more understanding of society and why it works the way it does and we can try to change it.

-When the pandemic is over I am looking foreword to going to concerts again and feeling comfortable

My biggest accomplishment of last semester was taking full credit hours while balancing being a new mom and working.
If I am being honest I would love to be a stay at home mom. I currently am earning a degree in HDFS and if I were to work I would love to work with children. I really would love to continue to grow my family and be able to stay home with my children.
One thing I am looking forward to once the pandemic is over is hopefully not having to be forced to wear a mask ever again.
One long term goal I have in this course is to become better at researching and writing and to overall get an A!
Something that would help me in this class is to have clear understanding as to when assignments are due and expectations for those assignments.

- My best accomplishment from last semester was being able to train incoming academic coaches at the Dennis Learning Center (where I work as an Academic Coach) - it was so out of my comfort zone but so rewarding.
- I am pursing a career in mental health counseling, while hopefully also incorporating art therapy into my practice. I'm passionate about making connections with people 1:1 that make them feel heard, as well as equipped to go out into the world as their most healed, confident selves.
- A learning goal that I have for this course is to absorb as much information as possible, and then apply it to my day-to-day life
- I think that clear deadlines, as well as clear communication of those deadlines are useful in an online learning format!

My favorite song is called The Beach by a band called lost hope. It has no lyrics and is one-hundred percent instrumental.

My closest family member would have to be my mom. She's my built-in best friend and I miss her a ton while I'm in Columbus.

I do have a secret talent and it's that I did competitive jump rope for eleven years!

My best accomplishment last semester was probably applying and getting a role in my student organization called "Student Alumni Council" as program coordinator for Rivalry Rally!

I would love to pursue some sort of career as an academic advisor. I'm super excited and passionate about continuing to further my education in HDFS courses so I can help out other students explore what they might want to do with their lives.

One thing I am looking forward to when this pandemic is over is less stress surrounding traveling. My family used to be big travelers but we've held back since the pandemic started.

I’m from Orlando Florida and I’m the first in my family to go to college on an athletic scholarship.

My favorite food is shrimp fried rice, favorite animal would be a cat

I don’t have a favorite song because I listen to so many genres, I love listening to every style

My closest family member would be my dad (technically stepdad but he raised me all my life) because he was my safe space for me when I couldn’t talk to anyone else. He is why I’m so wise, he has unconditional love for me and never tries to make me a certain way.

I’m a track athlete and I run/jump for OSU but outside of track I love dance and playing instruments..I love anything that has to do with body movement or involves music

Best accomplishment last semester was I continued to work and didn’t let myself drop out despite everything that was happening at the time.

One thing I look forward to after the pandemic is over is being able to meet people again. The pandemic felt like such an antisocial time but I’m ready to make new memories with people.

I do not have any advice but I look forward to gaining more brain wrinkles in this class!
