We will be moving numbers to the right for each question (i.e. if you were assigned Scenario #5, you will go to Scenario #6 to answer question #2, Scenario #7 to answer question #3, etc). Once you get to the last situation (#13) restart to #1. In other words, you will be answering different questions for different scenarios by adding a post to each one.

For the sake of this activity, you do not have to include your name if you do not feel comfortable.

1. What do you think of this person’s life choices?

2. What could this person have done differently?

3. What behaviors contributed to the person contracting HIV through this way?

4. You just found out that your best friend contracted HIV in this way. What is the first thing you thought?

5. You just found out someone you dislike or do not respect contracted HIV in this way. What is the first thing you thought?

6. Say something in this person's defense.

The person that contracted HIV through this way is blinded by the romance of the relationship, rather than the safety and protection of themselves first. Additionally, the person should have noticed any hints or signs telling that their partner was unfaithful and should have kept high alert and not engage in any acts with the partner. However, there is the fact that these signs could have not been suspicious or clear and the person who contracted HIV could have been a victim from the start.

My initial thought after finding out that my best friend got HIV would be to reassure and comfort my best friend. HIV is a grueling thing to accept for many people and since it is a mental toll, the best thing to do in that moment is to help the person relax.
