In the late 1970s and early 80s, the way users accessed computer systems was very complex.
In 1984, Apple produced the Macintosh, the first computer with a mouse and a graphical user interface(GUI).


A few years later, Microsoft lauched Windows, another operating system based on graphicals and intuitive tools.


A GUI makes use of a WIMP environment: windoes icons, menus and pointer. The background of the screen is called desktop, which contains labelled pictures called icons. These icons represent files or folders.


A modern OS also provides access to networks and allows multitasking, which means you can run several programs various tasks.




The most popular operating system are: Windows, Mac OS, Unix, Linux, Windows mobile, Palm OS, RIM and Symbian OS.

Yes, i have many ideas for your english project. First:Internet was carried out by the Advanced Research Projecs Agency in America, funded by the US government. Second: the research that led to what we now know as the internet was begun in the 1960's.To get connected, you need a computer, the right connection software and a modern to the mobile. Actually the internet is used to see videos, write emails, write documents,powerpoint, database and others.
