This is because it shows how we need to be united to move forward.

and the norms and notions of what 'just' is isn’t always justice.

I think this line means that we will have to leave our comfort zone in order to get things straight and we need to speak up to let others know about our thoughts.

This is so luminous, it sounds so inspirational it sounds like it means if only we would see the light because we are the light for we are the future meaning we have to be brave because as the future who knows what we will do or what will happen.

i think right here she is say that  if nobody uses their voice on important issues then that is not peacefully at all. Along with that not all notions are right but instead wrong

This makes me feel luminous because with all the hard times in 2020 and nobody knows whats coming but we have to have hope.

This stands out to me because it makes me have to think that this country isn't bad or broken but its actually just unfinished that is why we are having problems. Every unfinished project has a problem and this makes me think as our country as an unfinished project. Its not broken its  just simply unfinished.

This is the most luminous because it shows that our nation isnt destroyed but unfinished and can be fixed with some things to finish it.

This felt luminous. What interest me about it is that she is still very hopeful that we change.

This line was most luminous to me because it brings me hope in a bad situation.

This line is the most luminous to me because it made me realize that we can always over come our obstacles, but we just choose not to.

this line stood out to me because I feel like she is giving us an action that all humans do and shes giving us a result or how our body responds to it.

A country that is bruised but whole, benevolent but bold, fierce and free." This Line is the most  luminous to me because it shows that we can be a good and that we can improve as a country but still have some of our flaws

This line is the most luminous to me because it shows that sometimes there are bad things that happen and that we can still be happy and learn things from the bad times, and it also gives us hope.

This is luminous to me because, she could have simply said that our nation is broken beyond fix. But instead she said called it "a nation that isn't broken, but simply unfinished." 

If we merge mercy with might, and might with right, then love becomes our legacy and change, our children’s birthright." I think this was the most luminous line because it speaks to us, to think about our childrens lives, later in our lives, and how we would feel if these injustices kept happening throughout our lives and make us want to stop the constant fight. To make everyone equal an free.

for while we have our eyes on the future, history has its eyes on us.

This is the era of just redemption.

This is my favorite because this shows equality, teamwork, optimism, determination, and grit all at once.

That line is luminous in my opinion and because it shows that just because we hide things doesn't mean we don't want to show it, it's just we don't want to sow division again.

Line 31. I think this is powerful because this is saying that every citizen of the US has to take action to revive our nation. This line is about coming together no matter your skin color or your race. It's about unity.

but that doesn’t mean we are striving to form a union that is perfect.

We are striving to forge our union with purpose.

To compose a country committed to all cultures, colours, characters, and conditions of man.

I think that this part was very luminous or beguiling to me because I think here she is really telling people that she knows that our country is far from perfect but everyday we are working hard to make sure that our nation has a purpose and is truly trying to bring together every culture, character, color, and condition of man. 

Because it made me think and reflect on the year we had and how much we need to change and come together, it brings some hope to the table!

Would destroy our country if it meant delaying democracy.

This effort very nearly succeeded.

But while democracy can be periodically delayed,

it can never be permanently defeated.

In this truth, in this faith, we trust,

for while we have our eyes on the future, history has its eyes on us.

This is the era of just redemption.

We close the divide because we know, to put our future first, we must first put our differences aside.

We lay down our arms so we can reach out our arms to one another.

We seek harm to none and harmony for all.

Let the globe, if nothing else, say this is true:

I said these lines due to they both very well fit the theme of unity and being very powerful and laying it all down at once of showing issues in this country.

I think this shows that she has not given up on this country and that she thinks there still is hope for it.

 

but simply unfinished. THis one stood ut to me the most because she recognizes what is going on in the world nd she thinks that the world isnt over or broken, she thinks the world is just unfinished. What she means by that is that there is hope to still reunit this divided nation.

our people, diverse and beautiful, will emerge, battered and beautiful.

When day comes, we step out of the shade, aflame and unafraid.

The new dawn blooms as we free it." This line is very luminous because it reminds me of a prophecy recited by the council from Percy Jackson or something. I especially like this group of lines because it's tone gives off a determined/undefeated tone; it's like no matter how many times they fail their never gonna give up.

This shows how we should never give up, and even when there are some troubles going on in this world. It shows how sometimes people try so hard and they give up, or just can't do it, but how be benefit from it.

We will rise from the lake-rimmed cities of the midwestern states.

We will rise from the sun-baked south.

We will rebuild, reconcile, and recover.
