It's also possible to have only obsessions or only compulsions and still have OCD
OCD is a serious diagnosis that shouldn't be taken lightly
* In the United States, about 1 in 40 adults and 1 in 100 children have OCD
* OCD is one of the top 20 causes of illness-related disability, worldwide, for individuals between 15 and 44 years of age.
* cause anxiety or discomfort that significantly interferes with normal life

In order to raise awareness about OCD society holds conventions and meetings to spread the word. 
October 9th-OCtober 16th, 2016, was national OCD awareness week
