America is not a place in which cultures should be mixed because America has its own culture. Immigrants come to our country and they've changed it so much that we can't identify as one culture anymore. (Do We Really Want Immigrants to Assimilate?)
This is not accepting other cultures and stating that America is strictly a place for people of American culture. But we do not know what American culture is exactly since there as so many different things that are done in each state. America should be a place of freedom to any culture.

Assimilation with Culture for Immigrants

Assimilation has become part of the liturgy of our civil religion, and like any liturgy, we repeat it without often pausing to consider what we mean by it. I will argue here that when Americans say they want immigrants to assimilate, they may think they know what they want, but in fact they don’t understand the concept or its place in our history. Indeed, if Americans better understood the process of assimilation, they might well ask for something else. (Do We Really Want Immigrants to Assimilate?)
Assimilation means to take in information (referring to culture) and to understand it fully. Yes, we want immigrants to do that with American culture, but what we should also want is to understand their culture as well. Understanding culture also means respecting it, so we cannot force Immigrants to leave their own beliefs and culture behind. We also should not discriminate against Immigrants because of their culture which has a key part to Assimilation.

“I’ve always argued that this country has benefited immensely from the fact that we draw people from all over the world.”( Alan Greenspan)
The fact that we have to take in to consideration of having to argue with this fact says a lot. People will always argue with this fact because it's true. Anything that is not standard with the American won't be benefited. Other people who aren't familiar with this country won't always know the rules everyone has been following for decades. Some might claim instead of benefiting we have a went into loss from the lack of professionalism caused from others. We always like to push our expectations to those who have their own limits. Our country has set the 9-5 where to be a successful human you will need have a work period. Some cultures aren't built like that and I feel like American should be more open to accepting other cultural expectations then having everyone adjust to their own rules, it will help the country be more benefited.

“Refugees are not terrorists. They are often the first victims of terrorism.”
Terrorism is often attached with one group who have their own culture. America is not willing to change that assumption that was put on to that group since 9/11. Anyone who is drawn to this country with a hijab, abaya, or a niqab ( all traditional muslim and Arab clothing) is a "terrorist" when it is their own culture. Others who also come to the U.S are also acknowledged that, that is terrorism and what America is doing isn't. The real terriost are us who don't want to take that title off of muslims and welcome them and their culture, instead terrorize them and oppress the CULTURE they have.
