We must apply ourselves to our task with the same resolution, the same sense of urgency, the same spirit of patriotism and sacrifice as we would show were we at war." -Franklin D Roosevelt </p></li><li><p>The key players involved in this event were the Japanese military and the United States.</p></li><li><p>An interesting fact is that the attack killed about 2,403 people: 68 civilians, it damaged 19 US. ships too.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

The Italian Prime Minister, Benito Mussolini, and Hitler.</p></li><li><p>A fact about the Munich Conference was that in order for the agreement to be signed Czechoslovakia had to surrender their border regions and defenses to Nazi Germany.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <title>Death Camps</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>The Significance: It was a place where the bodies of 3 million out of about six million Jews were. They were not designed for mass murder, the people were worked to death, or died from medical experiments. Most of them died from shooting, starvation, or overworking.</p></li><li><p>"When I was taken to the concentration camp of Auschwitz, a manuscript of mine ready for publication was confiscated. Certainly, my deep desire to write this manuscript anew helped me to survive the rigors of the camps I was in." -Viktor E Frankl</p></li><li><p>There are many key players in death camps, some main ones are Hiter, and the Nazi party. Since there are so many different people who control these places some of the places are Chelmno, Belzec, Sobibor, Treblinka, Majdanek, and Auschwitz-Birkenau. </p></li><li><p>An interesting fact about the death camp, Auschwitz-Birkenau is that you can still visit this camp today to see what the people at this camp went through. Some of the site is not there today, but it is recreated to look similar. Many people go here today to study the concentration camp.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <title>Bombing of the Cities</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>The Significance: It was used against military targets, enemy troops, and civilians. This made home a dangerous place.</p></li><li><p>"This is not the end. The main key player that did most of the bombing was The Luftwaffe, which is the German Air Force. The five most devastating places bombed were Tokyo, Hamburg, Dresden, Berlin, London.</p></li><li><p>An interesting fact about the bombing of the cities during World War II is that is was the most deadliest war in history, including all of the casualties of the soldiers, and Jewish people, and the people in the cities. More than 40 and 50 million lives were taken during this event.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

Stalin was suspicious of the Western powers. Germany was divided. He pledged to create "democratic institutions of their own choice" through free elections. There was lots of tension at the meeting, this led to problems after the war.</p></li><li><p>"My management is there is no such thing as non-important people in the company." -Mickey Drexler</p></li><li><p>The key players of the Yalta conference were the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Allied powers.</p></li><li><p>An interesting fact about this event is that it lasted from February 4, 1945, to February 11, 1945.</p></li></ul>]]></description>
