• How does photovoice.org work?
  

Photovoice.org is not-for-profit organization which develops tailor-made participatory photography, digital storytelling and self-advocacy projects for socially excluded groups. Its aim is to develop skills (e.g. raising awareness of specific issues) through innovative participatory photography and digital storytelling methods, in order to facilitate positive social change. In addition to that, PhotoVoice runs a public training 3 day programme for practitioners who would like to learn more about the practicalities and ethics in running participatory photography projects. PhotoVoice works in the UK and internationally with individuals, local communities, other charities and NGOs. Photovoice at the origin is a method designed in the USA in the Nineties which leverages photos to make people's opinion emerge

People involved: about 24 persons engaged in the design and development of digital learning services (editors, instructional designers, project managers, tutors, system administrators, web developers)

EXPLORATION. Each workgroup uses a laptop to explore the weblink (40 mins) . Weblinks refer to the topics in the mindmap:

MIX AND MATCH. People are divided into workgroups of 2 persons each and have to answer a question related to a specific weblink (questions decided by lot)
