4. Understand why and how space sciences are a showcase of European technology;

5. Understand how space careers choices take place in primary and secondary education ages

  In this set of 2 introductory videos, Prof. George Miley, Astronomer from Leiden University, the Netherlands, EU Space Awareness Co-coordinator and Universe Awareness Founder, introduces the basic concepts of Space Science & Technology and their relevance for the classroom. He explores the main modern ideas of space sciences and exploration and the reasoning to use fundamental research in the classroom (Wow)

I want to introduce the first lesson in the words of George Miley when he says that the vastness of the world makes us realize how ridiculous are the divisions between us humans. School has to stimulate global citizenship. 
I like what J.B.S. Haldane wrote in 1927 "The Universe is not only stranger than we imagine, but stranger than we CAN imagine"
