The task specifies that we write a total of 4 poems from different eras (Elizabethan, Romantic, and Modernist). I just finished writing and revising all of my poems, currently in the process of writing the rationales. I feel like I did a pretty good job so far with the poems, putting my best effort into all of them. I tried to put a lot of creativity in the poems, which definitely required some effort. It was no doubt pretty difficult as I had to keep many things in mind, such as using poetic devices and imagery. They also mean a lot to me, as some really reflect my ideas and thoughts. This has been an ongoing process since the beginning of the school year. I feel like this really fits with what we are doing with the learning diary because I really use my reflective skills while writing the entries. For drama so far this year, we have been focusing on expressing ourself in different ways, especially with the body. We also focused on some breathing techniques and exercises. Overall, I feel really good about drama, looking to further improve every class. This is because he is an athlete, and I am someone who enjoys running a lot as it is good for cardiovascular fitness. Also, it will help improve my athletic performance in other sports. Creating this running club has taught me many things so far: 1) Discipline - I have to attend the practices, which sometimes are in the morning 2) Collaboration - teaching and collaborating with other members 3) Running skills - the club is all about sharing our knowledge of the sport to improve, so I really learned a lot. This season, we had a total of three different games so far for our league (AISAA), which we won 2 out of the 3 games. The other one was a draw. I am satisfied with the result, as we will compete for the trophy soon. Joining the team allowed me to improve my teamwork and communication skills significantly. Leadership also plays a big role in the sport, which we all have to master. We created this band ourselves, playing instruments and singing purely for enjoyment. However, as we have been progressing in the past few years, we received some opportunities on the big stage (at school). In this school year, we performed for Lhung Baan Concert (school build) and Festival of Love. In the near future, we will be auditioning for the MS talent show. Our project's goal is to find the correlation between grit scores and how well you do in IB.
