At age 30 in 1373 she was suffering from a serious illness and as she prayed and prepared for death she received 16 revelations.These were a series of visions of Christ’s suffering, of the Blessed Virgin, and she received insight into his love for us, about which she wrote two accounts. Her final vision was 'Christ dwelling in the souls of those who love him'.

Muhammad was meditating in a cave called Hira on the mountain Jabal an-Nour in 610 AD when he was visited by the angel Jibreel who ordered him to recite. When Jibreel mentioned the name of Allah, Muhammad began to recite words which he came to believe were the words of God. 
Muhammad was spiritual before the experience but afterwards he believed he was Allah's prophet.

God spoke to Moses through a Burning Bush. God mentioned that he had heard his people's cries and that he wanted his people to return to him. He wanted Moses to convince the people to believe in God. Also that they should follow his lessons. God promised a land of rivers with milk and honey (paradise). Moses didn't know how to prove God so God illustrated ways that he is real. first by turning his walking stick into a snake and then made his hand mouldy. God said "i am who i am" when Moses questioned his being and Moses said that his word wouldn't mean much. Meanwhile, Jesus appeared in a vision to a disciple in Damascus named Ananias and told him to go to Saul. Ananias was afraid because he knew Saul's reputation as a merciless persecutor of the church.
Jesus repeated his command, explaining that Saul was his chosen instrument to deliver the gospel to the Gentiles, their kings, and the people of Israel.

So Ananias found Saul at Judas' house, praying for help. Ananias laid his hands on Saul, telling him Jesus had sent him to restore his sight and that Saul might be filled with the Holy Spirit.

This vision was to be the first of eighteen apparitions over the next few weeks, frequently with many people in attendance out of curiosity, as by now the story of the Lady was the talking point of everyone in Lourdes. During one of these visions, Bernadette was asked by the Lady to drink at the spring and wash in the water, although there was no spring to be seen. Bernadette scratched away at the surface of the earth, and found water rising, which she was able to drink. Soon this spring was yielding 27,000 gallons of water a day, which has been maintained ever since even in times of drought.
