This was necessary for treating the gods with lots of honour. This also gave good luck to the pharaoh in the near future. Ramses believed in many gods and was thought to have many religious artefacts. Ramses was thought to love most gods with proof in marrying Queen Nefatari.

Ramses maintained tight control over the central government. Creating power in the hands of Ramses. He entrusted his peers and sons in the right key positions of ranking one another. He had maintained and took care of officials and viziers who collected taxes from locals, day-to-day affairs and public works. Many people were allowed to vote for different rules which allowed a bureaucracy in which scribes and priests wrote down records and maintained and collected resources while overseeing agricultural production. Ramses maintained a strong army, essential for both fighting and defending on the battlefield. He had gathered resources for his followers to fight for him. He had established many military colonies to make sure that he had secure locations to ambush the opposing army.
