Allowing teachers to go observe other teachers to gain more strategies. Also helping teachers find ways to actively engage students in their learning. Allowing them to take the lead.

As teachers, we are not only teaching students 'content', but we are also providing them with the resources / skills that help to build their characters. So we would include those conversations in our collaboration sessions.

Take the teachers through the process of learning. Instead of telling or showing them how to teach, allow them to be students.

Provide opportunities for observing other teachers.

You are in it with them, not fighting against them. Work with them in an active display of learning, not dictate to them.

So focusing on students learning and not just teaching; being more reflective with our practices and if they are working to enable the students to learn. Also teacher observation would be a good tool for focusing more on learning.

Engaging teachers in book studies, and interactive and unfamiliar learning experiences that put them in the shoes of the learner. It allows teachers to do the things that they are asking the students to do and open their eyes to the different ways in which students learn.
