I used our in-class analysis and reflection assignments to deepen my understanding of works we viewed in class and further explore the process of analyzing works of art. I developed the Alt-Text description technique and developed an understanding of how different object, figures, and colors can evoke different meanings. An example of this is how in Linda Nez's work(left) she uses complementary colors that correlate with the Fall season to indicate renewal or reprise. This correlates with the purpose of the festival being celebrated by the native Navajo in the composition.
