He was troubled and likes to make trouble in the beginning but then changes. The biggest trouble he got into was hitting the boulder on the statue and it destroyed part of his school and it make him run from his problems

The other academy kids impacted him when he started hanging out with them to hide from Shults but they all became close and could have become better friends.

When Donovan got the motor from the janitor's closet and used it in the robot, it made the  robot work.

Donovan got his robot to fight with the other robot and both schools and robots got disqualified from the competition.

Donovan is allowed to continue in the gifted academy robotic program.
