By Olivia Alicia and Annalise,
Koalas are mysterious creatures and we have done some research on them so we can tell you about these creatures. First, koalas are warm-blooded and they are a mammal. They are also a herbivore which means they eat only leaves. The koala's predator is goannas, dingoes, powerful owls, and a wedged tail eagle. As you know there only prey is plants and Eclipses. The physical adaptations of a koala are the koala's paws are specially adapted for gripping and climbing, Rough pads on the palms and soles help it to grip tree trunks and branches. Some Behavioral Adaptations of a koala is they are solitary. They are nocturnal. They can happily spend up to 18 hours a day sleeping or simply just sitting in the trees to conserve energy. Everything from sleeping to eating and even breeding is done in the trees. Finally, their habitat is in Australia, they live in bushlands, they are found in a range of habitats from coastal islands and tall eucalypt forests to inland. I hope you have learned some things from my passage!

By Aniela, Panar, Rhea, and Leah

This is some information about a hedgehog. A hedgehog is warm-blooded, a mammal, and a carnivore. Its food chain is: Their prey are insects, slugs, baby mice, frogs, worms, small snakes, eggs, and fruit. Their predators are a bird, ferret, fox, wolf, and mongoose. Their habitat is all over the world but they mostly live from Britain and the rest of Europe. Except for the far north and to Russia. Their behavioral Adaptations is when a hedgehog is scared, a strong muscle in their back pulls it into a strong ball, protecting its soft underbelly and pointing its sharp spines upward. The hedgehog’s spines are an obvious adaptive trait to repel prey. Their physical adaptations are Curl up. After shooting his prickly quills up and making them interlock with one another, the hedgehog has successfully given itself a sharp shield of armor against predators. At this point, he curls his head and feet into his body to protect its soft underbelly. This is the info about a hedgehog.

By Colton, Chris, and Cole.

The animal that my group and I are doing is the Blue Ringed Octopus. The Blue Ringed Octopus can change into any color that it wants to! They usually live only 2 years before getting eaten or die. It also spits venom that can kill 26 adults in minutes. The venom and their bite paralyzes you, but before that, you get slower and start not being able to breathe. It lives in Australia, New Guinea, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, and Japan, mostly in the bottom of coral reefs. They mostly live in the bottom of coral reefs. Its predators are eels, whales, sharks, big fish, and humans. Its prey is crab and crustaceans. It’s cold-blooded, and a cephalopod, and it’s a carnivore

They are carnivore and they eat deer, wild pigs, monkey and rodents. There predators are tiger, human, and leopards. They can climb up trees and hang upside down using there claws.

Logan,Bryce and Ty-sir

Snow leopards are perfectly adapted to the cold, barren landscape of their high-altitude home, but human threats have created an uncertain future for the cats. Despite a range of over 2 million km 2, scientist estimate that there may only be between 3,920 and 6,390 snow leopards left in the wild. The snow leopard is cold blooded not warm blooded. one snow leopard has reportedly been killed and traded every day - 220 to 450 cats per year. The true extent of the problem is thought to be even bigger. Snow leopards are around 75-150cm from head to the base of the tail witch make smaller than other big cats.

Sloth

Jillian, Brynn, Annelise, and Talia.

We have done some research on Sloths and learned many facts that I am about to talk about today! When you think of Sloths most people think of their slowness, but it is not because they want to move slow, it is because they eat leaves. Leaves do not have many neutrons in them, so that is why sloths move the way that they do! Sloths are warm-blooded mammals and they are omnivores. So they eat insects, leaves, carrion, fruits, and small lizards. Sloths do get eaten by Jaguars, large birds, snakes, and humans. Now we will talk about Physical Adaptations The Sloths are built perfectly for arboralin in the trees because their arms are longer than their legs. They also have curved feet so it’s easier to grasp branches. Now we will talk about Behavioral Adaptations Sloths hang down most of their lives. Their fur helps them blend into their habitat so their predators can’t find them as easy. Their slowness helps them eat safely. Finally, we will talk about their habitat. Sloths live in the tropical forest of central South America! You will most likely find Sloths in the trees, hanging upside down! Those are all the facts we have learned about the Sloth.
