In the beginning of my research to eventually come up with Urban League, looking at magazines with the same genre of music also influenced me. Sell lines about a new album coming out, Adidas releasing a new line of clothing and a teaser for the music charts will all relate to my target audience. I also displayed the chance to win a prize of a beats pill and headphones because it will attract the audience and they are related objects towards urban music.
Colours: Most urban music magazines use more dark colours like black and dark blue to contrast against a few light colours like white and red. So I implicated that into Urban League as my house style as it gives my magazine a serious look to attract my target audience of young adults.
Images: All of the images with people in them are all male, which establishes who I want to attract to this magazine to.

They are also all modified/edited to add effect and give them all a different visual stimulus towards the audience. I made sure to stay with the norm with the focal point of the front cover being the main image, by making sure the main image is the biggest thing equal/compared to the masthead and there is direct address.
Typography: I implicated the fact of that urban music magazines in general like to mention urban music artists as their sell lines, because they are probably well known and the artists mentioned are always mainstream. The audience will get attracted by these big names will get even more interested when they see the reason by they are mentioned.
