As Christ disciple I believe in the importance of unity. God commanded us to be united as evidence of His love for us, and that we are His true followers and witness to the world. John 13:35, John 17:17, 20-23. Unity among believers pleases and honor God.

One of the top reasons for division is Immaturity. That is why God commanded us to read and meditate His words day and night.

-          I will continue and be disciplined with my daily devotions every day at 5:00 am by God’s grace.

Another reason is carnality means not allowing God to be in control of my life. God commanded us to live righteously. Phil.4:8-9, Gal 5:16-26

-          I will intentionally, by God’s grace, not stay in the house alone and run away from any temptation that I may encounter like literally, pray for it and let God be in control. 😊

Resolved any conflict within my family right away with humility. And be aware of any demonic scheme the enemy will throw at us. Always pray.

Cascade the “United” series to our downline starting this December 15, 2023 @ 7:30 pm. To be intentional with our schedule of our ID sessions.

Session 1 reminded us of the early church - they don’t have the technology we have now, but their movement was very effective. It’s not more on the How’s but rather their motivation is their

love for God which propelled them to obey - to love others - they have the “essentials” of Christianity.

For us, “Essentials” are non-negotiables and should be the foundation of the movement. When we agree on the “Essentials” and embrace it, we will move together in Unity towards our goal and purpose.

John:

I will continue to submit to the authorities that God placed above me by aligning local plans to the overall regional plans.

Loi:

Everytime I have the urge to complain, I will seek God first in prayer rather than going to my spouse to complain.

Praise God for this session that shows us what True unity is. We are called to preserve that unity. Love/loving one another is the perfect bond of unity. I pray that the key points discussed here will be reminders to our family that we are under one master, one purpose and that everything we do will be driven by a clear motivation to honor, obey and give glory to God.

Continue our personal/couple bible study about the Holy Spirit - applying it in the way I talk to my wife and daughter.

Kat

Ask the Holy Spirit to give me wisdom to serve my family despite my physical limitation. - as per husband’s request - for me to help him by reminding him if he misses out things to be accomplished with Chia’s needs or needs in the home.

Session 1 unite reinforced in me to distinguished things that are essentials and non essentials. And to remain in unity is to let go of things that will only cause problems , division and stunt our growth.

I will practice not to dwell on non essential things daily with my husband, my daughter even people that I deal with daily. For I know God doesn’t want strife.

We will actively work on becoming better listeners to each other as a couple, encourage open communication, and sharing our thoughts and feelings more openly. --clyte & jay

We learned in this session that the top reasons of division are immaturity, carnality and relationship conflicts. Gods design for the family and church is to unite. Unity is not conformity by setting aside our personal motives, thus there is oneness in Spirit, goal and motivation.

I will's:

Mon - I need to improve this is week on my 007 accountability.

Joy - I will be mindful on what I say to Mon and Luke by using positive criticism than just lashing out words that will hurt them that will cause conflict. To the church, I will check my motive on why I do God's ministry - what I do is not an obligation but an act of obedience to God for His glory.

Personal Action points.

Mike:

Prepare lunch and snacks for family on weekdays. Continue our couple's accountability sessions. (Bruising time). Discipline Lauren in a calm but stern voice.

Diana:

I will intentionally spend time with Michael within the day to pray and remind each other of our goals towards Christlikeness, as parents and as a couple.

God’s purpose is for His church to be one. Being one in His Spirit . I pray for courage to talk about Him all the time to people I meet.

Personal action points:

John:

I will improve on my patience & gentleness in teaching & helping Loi especially in computer proficiency. I will continue to submit and improve in communication to the authorities that God place above me.

Loi:

I will show respect to John by being mindful of my tone of voice.

I will think about my husband as more important than me by considering him and letting him know abt our activities. We will start a family devotion every week to focus on God

Without Christlike humility, this one goal to unite is impossible. For our enemy is so ready to make use of our frailty to cause division. The root of our division is pride -which is in a blink of an eye can be used by the enemy to fail us in our day by day living.

Praise God for this session that convicted us to strengthen our unity as a couple to serve His ministry for His glory.

I will's:

Mon - I will continue my daily devotional and make it a priority to start my day. Listen attentively to my wife's reminders of my tasks to do at home and in our Dgroup.

Joy -I will be gentle in reminding Mon on his tasks at home and in the ministry. I will support Mon in his plans in our family and Dgroup, if there is any disagreement in our plans, we will pause and pray to ask for God's wisdom.

Action points

Michael and Diana:

1. Have a self-evaluation on discipleship process every 6 months.

2. Be intentional on following CID and ID schedules downline and upline.

3. Start One Thing Accountability journey (CID) with our new couples this February 10, 2024.

that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

The Scripture often emphasizes how unity and love reflect a person's commitment to Christ. It is clear that those who love God will obey God and the primary demonstration of that is a unifying love for other believers.

Ada and Owen:

• Behaving and walking in accordance to God's will and plan, worshiping and pointing non-believers to Jesus Christ.

• Prioritize our quite time with God.

• Prioritize our commitment in serving the Lord and making Him known.

  
  

We are reminded of our purpose: to be Christlike and to walk in humility, looking out for the interest of others and to seek the highest good in people. It also reinforced the ONE thing we all should be doing: discipling others. Oftentimes the pursuits of mundane things pulls us away from our purpose thus we don’t experience the fullness of life He promised. The assurance of His presence at all times should put us in a posture of obedience to His commands which eventually leads to a real transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit. Endless blessings come to those who are delightful and humbly obeying Him without haste.

Louie’s I will: disciple my family and workers in the Philippines

Ida: Exercise humility in dealing with family, friends, co workers and people around me by listening and avoid argument.

Jay: I will selflessly support my wife of what is important to her and be more intentional in our weekly devotions as a couple

Clyte: I will intentionally seek to deepen my understanding of God’s character and support Jay’s passions selflessly

Jay and Clyte: We will be more excited to share God’s love by being more caring and considerate to our neighbors next door with our daily interactions with them. We will learn intimately what it really means to be willing to  face challenges in leading a discipleship group this year by God's leading and mercy.

In John 17:11, Jesus prayed for His disciples to be united. Christians are called to be united like how the Father, Son and Holy Spirit acted as one for One Goal - the salvation of mankind.

We learned in this session that, the CCF's core ministry is discipleship. On this journey, we are encouraged to keep the main thing, the main thing: to go through a laser focus perspective to One Goal, which is found in Matthew 28:19-20.

I will's:

Mon - I will follow the lead of my DGroup leader by being aligned to CCF's vision/mission, and One Process in discipleship. To be mindful every moment to grow in Christlikeness by continuing my daily quiet time with the Lord.

Joy - I will support Mon to continue our family devotional, DGroup and ID sessions by preparing the technical tasks (prepping of ID materials, videos, and organizing ID sessions).

Loi: I will start praying for my young and single co-workers at work, to build relationships with them first (PCS them)

John: I will continue to trust the discipleship process of CCF, submit to the leadership that God set above me. Continue to PCS on my 2 co-workers - take every opportunity to build relationship and show genuine care.

Without unity we won’t be able to let Christ be known to the world. Our strategy needs to be aligned in His purpose of what God has commanded us: to be Christlike, humble and selfless. There is no higher purpose than to be conformed to the image of God’s Son.

Steps to grow in humility and to fulfill our purpose:

Bryan- continue our couple and family devotion. Couple weekly evaluation. Give love notes to my wife to encourage her for the day.

Kat- serve my husband by making his ‘baon’ for work before he does it. Ask him if I have hurt him with my words or action and ask for ways I can improve.

Importance to be equipped and to work together in achieving 1 goal and 1 purpose, by teaching and modeling (lifestyle). As we obey the Lord in discipling others, we praise God as we have a process to follow as a movement and alignment is important. There are also materials readily available for us to use. We can work together as one, to help one another to grow in Christlikeness.

We also learned about the importance of having a laser focused perspective.

As a family, we are praying to open our home for face to face worship service and DGroup in this side of Houston.

-To continue to submit to the process of CCF in being equipped thru discipleship so that we can also cascade this to others (downlines) and encourage them to be disciplers of their Families and others.

Praise God for CCF for providing us with a process to follow and the tools to enable us to grow from being a seeker to a dgroup member to d leader and multiplier
