         <title>I would very much like to be in front of the class longer because I feel that 5, 10 or 15 minutes is too little time. The truth is that I would also like to teach in sixth period because there are more students there and almost all of them are participating or talking about other things. I would like to teach and get to know the feeling of a group that seems uncontrollable.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Post second semester I would like to have successfully covered all units of instruction and the content standards. I want to further establish my classroom management skills so that there is more time for instruction and studio work. That can be achieved through setting classroom norms and expectations the first week back from winter break. I must be consistent with my classroom management for that to happen. I want to integrate more questions and activities that involve higher order thinking. I can start by writing out 3 questions for students prior to each lesson that can be used for group and classroom conversations. I would also like the opportunity to review art in a historical context for students to understand why art is important. I can incorporate primary sources and analytical articles for each unit to help achieve that. Like many of my peers, I would also like to find a job after the program.&nbsp;</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

The balance comes from maintaining structure and enforcing rules while also being supportive and encouraging for students. I especially will emphasize those skills when it comes to validating student perspectives and affirming their funds of knowledge. Additionally, I want to be intentional about my utilization of assessment data when informing my teaching practices and content creation. I have not had much practice doing so this semester, which makes me&nbsp;want to implement this practice during 2nd semester. I also want to try to model instructional activities and encourage cooperative learning more often, which sounds a little counterintuitive when said side by side. Essentially, I want to be able to utilize a variety of strategies and practices in order to build my skills as an instructor and cater to all students.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>My goals for second semester are to set up a better time-management system, so that I can meet my deadlines. I also want to build up my self-esteem when writing my lesson plans so I don't doubt my skills as an educator and know I am putting my best foot forward for myself and my student. Goals for student-teaching is to make time at the end of my lesson to reflect at the end of the unit on what I did that made my students be successful and what I can do different&nbsp; to ensure the next time I do the project it has better success. Another goal I have set for myself is to break down my units in a way that the information is easily accessible for my students and that the whole semester is building on itself, so that my students can leave my class with information that they can use and in the future and feel accomplished.<br>For post-program the goal is to find a job working with my preferred demographics and get paid what I am worth. I am aware of what I bring to the table, my experience being a teacher. This program has helped me grow as a teacher in areas that were my weaknesses. I will have the proper documentation that shows that I can be a teacher.</div>]]></description>

At the moment I feel like there are moments in which we have quite of bit of time left that could have been filled in with a new activity or a spin on something that we have been learning. However, there are times in when there is little time left before the class ends. I also want to enhance connections and engagement within my classroom a lot more.
