She suprisingly didn't like the publicity she got when she wrote "To Kill A Mocking Bird." 

She refuses to write again. Because along with hating the publicity she claims she has already said what she wanted to say so she doesn't need to say it again.

Her mother had mental illnesses It is believed that she had bipolar disorder which results in Lee only barley leaving the house.

In 2007 Harper Lee had a stroke and then had on going health issues she had hearing loss limited vision and memory loss.

After becoming a millionare from "To Kill A Mocking Bird" Lee didn't change her life style she gave most the money away to charity and she lived with her sister in a one bedroom ranch and when her clothes were dirty she rode a public bus to the next town to a laundry mat where she washed her clothes that were most often bought from Walmart.

15 million people were unemployed which caused the stock market to crash  which was part of the cause for the great depression. 

- The drought the drought caused the great depression because it made many set backs.

Homer Plessy bought a first class ticket for a train ride but when he got there and asked him if he was "colored" or black and he replied yes they told him his ticket couldn't be used and that he must sit in the section for people of color. He refused to go sit there so he got shoved off the train and was thrown in jail. He then taken to court. Black and White people could no longer have the same public transportation for example the black and white people weren't allowed to ride the same bus or train.

Everyone who boarded the train had to be tested and if they were more than 1/8th black they got thrown off the train. 

No black people could sit in first class even if that's the ticket they bought. They would be thrown in jail.
