This week

Students continued with Unit 10 - Calculations
Students continued to practice finding the relationship between addition and subtraction through inverse equations and fact families.
Students reviewed multiplication and division.
Students started to explore the relationship between multiplication and division through inverse equations and fact families.
Students reviewed finding fractions of numbers.
Lesson 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, 10.4

They also learn a bit about patterns: regular and irregular pattern

Next week

Students will continue with Unit 14: Probability and Patterns.
Students will describe the probability of something happening using the key words: certain, likely, even chance, unlikely and impossible.
Students will complete regular and irregular patterns.

SCIENCE

This week

Students completed Unit 3 - Materials.
Students will start to formulate an understanding that materials can change.

They also use bar chart to score the experiment result when changing material property. (Example: Ice/ chocolate is a solid, but if it is heated it can turn into a liquid.)

Next week

Students will complete the Unit 3 assessment on Monday (17.02.2025)
Students will start with Unit 4 Humans and Animals grow.
Students will identify similarities and differences in the body parts and skin covering of different animals.
