Sanger Rainsford is a very intelligent and brave character in the short story "The Most Dangerous Game"My first reason on why i say the Sanger Rainsford is a brave and intelligent man is because he took on Ivan and General Zaroff ( killed them both). On page 28 it states " He had ever slept in a better bed, Rainsford Decided". Which means he won against General Zarroff. And on page 27 it says " Just ahead of him Rainsford mad out another figure whose wide shoulders surged through the tall jungle weeds. It was the giant Ivan". That's when Rainsford killed him with the tree and knife trick. One more thing i found interesting about Rainsford is that he would actually fight back against General Zarroff and Ivan, instead of trying to find a way out or something. I found it clever when Rainsford said to General Zarroff before the fight was on Pg 28 " I am still the beast at bay," He said, in a low, hoarse voice. " Get ready, General Zarroff".

Sanger Rainsford is a very intelligent character in "the most dangerous game". First, Rainsford is a very smart and skilled character. For example, "the knife, driven by the recoil of the springing tree, had not wholly failed"pg 27. Also i find it intresting that Rainsford slept so peacefully after killing General zaroff. In conclusion, Rainsford is a very calm and composed character.

General Zarroff is very dangerous person in "The Most Dangerous Game". First, he hunts humans instead of an animal, he found hunting animals to be boring because they can't reason. On page 20 when General Zarroff said "I wanted the ideal animal to hunt. So I said: 'What are the attributes of an ideal quarry? And the answer was, of course: " It must have courage, cunning, and above all, it must be able to reason.", it showed many traits humans have and that he wanted something that could beg for its life. Also, Zarroffs pointy teeth and red lips shows give an inhuman like feature to him. In conclusion, General Zarroff is an insane, mass murderer, who likes to hunt people.

He and his friend Whitney are off to rio to do some hunting when Rainsford falls over board and is on an island with to other people who hunt humans. 2 the idea of animals turning into humans and living along side us is a odd concept its as if saying the general himslef is an animal killing people example page 25 it says zaroff eyes don't let anything escape and follows the target like a blood hound in conclusion the theme reason vs instinct zaroff is a instinct man then the reason type. 3 james medrano motif the idea that the color red be used this much in the story just makes it seem that the person that wrote the story is carzy for the color red to spook those that read the book.

For example the he knew how to build a trap that killed Ivan on page 27. Rainsford was also the one who said that the animals cant feel feelings so now i think he kind of gets how the animals he hunts feel. One thing Rainsford did that was weird was he slept fine in the bed after he killed zaroff. in conclusion Rainsford is a confusing person.

Sanger Rainsford is a very important character in " The Most Dangerous Game". First I would like to point out that the whole story is about him falling off the yacht and having to swim to ship wreck island. Second he was in mostly every part of the story. Third Rainsford was bond to win the hunt because the book is focusing on him more than all the characters put together. For an example on page 28 when he is in Zaroff's bedroom and they do a stand off, you know he is going to win and he does because he is the main character. In conclusion that's why I think Rainsford is the most important character in " The Most Dangerous Game".

Zaroff started hunting at a young age when he started shooting at his father's prized turkeys and has evolved into hunting men. I chose this detail because in the book on page 20 Rainsford says," Hunting?Good god,General Zaroff, what you speak of is murder." Also, Zaroff praises his hounds over the lives of the sailors that he hunts for every day. In conclusio, General Zaroff is a mysterious, barbaric, and brutal man.

General Zaroff is a cruel, uncaring character in the short story "The Most Dangerous Game". First, he hunts humans for sport and feels no shame in himself for it. For example, on page 17, he told Rainsford that he and his servant, Ivan, are Cossack cavalrymen who would torture people. Also, General Zaroff had a 'fake' lighthouse built to trap sailors on the island for his 'game'. In conclusion, General Zaroff is one sick, twisted man.

For example, on page 23, when general Zaroff says, "the choice rests entirely with you, but may i not venture to suggest that you will find my idea of sport more diverting than Ivan's" shows that Rainsford has a big choice to make. First, General Zaroff was definitely not effected by the war because a couple of years later, here he is shooting anyone who gets trapped on his island. For example, we see that on page 23 when he says "The hunting was not good last night. The fellow lost his head. He made a straight trail that offered no problems at all", it shows that he had no problems killing a man. To be honest, the theme seems fairly easy to discuss. In conclusion, I see that General Zaroff had no problem killing a man and Rainsford obviously didn't want to hunt the men

The first time this concept was evident was when Rainsford was being hunted by the General and he recalled his time serving in the war and how he was more scared being hunted by a madman than another army, and in france when he dug the burmese tiger pit. On page 26 when Rainsford made the burmese tiger pit, The general had congratulated him on doing so. First, the color red appeared in the story when Rainsford fell into the "blood-warm waters" of the Caribbean. For example, on page 17 the author mentions "His smile showed red lips and pointed teeth." To be honest, the color red shows up a lot in the beginning of the story, but drifts away towards the end, which also is when Rainsford wins the game. First, the jungle was evident right from the beginning when Rainsford rolled down into the forest after reaching the island. For example, the book said on page 15 "Dense jungle came down to the very end of the cliffs. To be honest, the thought of having that much jungle to get lost in and coming across the only house on the island is very lucky. In conclusion, the Jungle didn't surprise me because they were headed to the Amazon Rainforest, but the fact that Rainsford managed to find his way to the only house for a couple-hundred miles did.

This theme was evident in the story when Zaroff and Rainsford were talking about the hunt and what Zaroff hunted. First, I agree that the jungle is a crucial part of the story, and your description on page 15 adds to the important-ness of the jungle.
