For my Capstone project, I will be taking an in-depth look at Drexel's global and international education program. I will be reviewing courses individually looking at outcomes, assignments, and all course materials. My goal will be to assess if following the course instructions will lead to achievement of the course's desired outcomes. Additionally, I would like to look at other universities' global education programs. I will compare and contrast the concepts taught in our program and others. This will help me see if Drexel's program is comprehensive or if there is more that could be added.

Does Drexel's GIE program include information that is not a part of other programs?

I will use a mix of qualitative and quantitative research methods when conducting my research. I think a wide range of methods will help me paint the fullest picture of Drexel's global and international education methods. Quantitative methods will help me assess student performance and results. I could use qualitative methods to learn about the program from students and faculty. I could use these same methods with professors from other global education programs.

This program was recommended to me by Bruce Levine. Since I am in an accelerated 4 year BS/MS program, I have less time to devote to a caption and I am unable to travel for an extended period of time. This project will give me an opportunity to practice evaluating curriculum. This will be helpful when I am a teacher hoping to evaluate a lesson, unit, or whole curriculum.
