In this lesson I learnt about some of the skills and attributes that play therapists need in order to be successful in their job. I also learnt what a play therapist actually is and what they actually do.

In this lesson I learnt about the different roles in early years and education. I researched a play therapist and I think I found that the most interesting because I was able to see how play can be vital in a child's life and how it can help them navigate their emotions and difficult experiences.

In this lesson I learnt hot to stay safe from any scams, what certain scams look like and where I can go if I need help if I think I've experienced a scam. I found it interesting because it is something that happens very very often and people are easily taken advantage of.

Communication – I developed this by talking to people I’ve never met before, I overcome being too scared to speak to new people and I will build this skill in the future by asking for feedback about my ideas

Teamwork – I developed this by participating more in group discussions, I overcome this challenge by having more confidence in my ideas and I will build this skill in the future by trying to work with people I don’t normally with

Digital Skill – I developed this by using an app I’ve never used before, I overcome this challenge by searching the app for things, and I will build this by trying new things I've never used on the app more

In this lesson I enjoyed learning about the different ways that women have already made progress closing the gender equality gap. I also enjoyed making a poster about a women I find inspiring.

I enjoyed this lesson as I was able to understand how much I would get taxed if I chose to be a nanny but also you dont get taxed if you earn £12,570 or less.

Staying safe in the online world

At the moment I feel quite safe on the digital world because I am able to understand what’s real and what’s fake. The way I can change my current AI use is by maybe using less of it. In this lesson I learnt about real life experiences of people who have been a victim of deepfakes and I was able to know what to look out for to see if something is real or not.

fast fashion prices are kept low through low-quality manufacture of garments and poor working conditions
Solutions:
make working conditions better
use high-quality material to improve the manufacturing quality
sell old clothes on things like vinted to stop them from going to waste/ going to landfill
instead of throwing old clothes away you could use the material to make something else e.g. personalised teddies, small bags or pillowcases as a keepsake
1. Buy second hand clothes online, from a family friend or from a charity shop, choose more sustainable brands by checking what material the clothing is made from, how the clothes are made and what the working conditions are like
2. It increases the lifespan of the clothes because if we wear them longer it and repair them it reduces the need for new purchases, it reduces waste as it diverts clothes from landfill which helps decrease greenhouse gas emissions and the environmental impact of textile waste.
