Language Teacher -
It's a very useful tool, I have been checking student's productivity during the lesson. Good evidence when they are out of task. My students know I am checking what they are doing and apparently they are more focus on the lesson.
The only negative aspect, some of the students are not appeared as connected.

Some students are shown as absent, however, I can see that they are working on the devices, has the software being correctly loaded onto all student devices? Teachers bringing classes into the LC, e.g. must have their own classes added to the LC list so that all students can be monitored. I have checked the device that were not registering on Edquire, the software is not loaded on these devices.

It is my 1st year using zoom and it works well. The students are close-up. Adding edquire makes it easier to monitor off task behaviour.

Useful as evidence collection and potentially could put help some students see how much time they are off task. For some it will be a surprise. For those students who are frequently time wasting etc it might not really add much that we didn't already know? Slight concern that 'policing edquire' could become a job in itself...

Zoom
While the issues that can arise with students learning in a virtual classroom remain it is my opinion that Zoom is a great improvement on the older VC units that where in use previously.

CP - As CP I need to see all of my students on my campus.....all of the time - there are some times each day when Year 11+ all on zoom or allocated to to a teacher in the LC... - by having access to every class every day it gives a great coverage of what is happening.... I am not convinced that Zoom teachers are using EdQuire.... Many of my teachers timetables on EdQuire are not correct and many of the students are not registered in the classes. This is a fantastic tool.. needs to be set up like we used it last year for maximum effectiveness..... love it!!!!!

Edquire does need to be refreshed often to maintain its relevance to what is happening at a given time.
I have two Year 10 students who are not registered (Ashley Davis and Kent Wycherley). I have advised Ed Quire about this but not updated yet.
I don't often use Ed quire during class because I am teaching, discussing or involved with students.
Great to look at the live feed when I can and to see the class report. I share with the class when possible
