I am also someone who is not religious but is surrounded by believers in my family and friends and at work. After one of my twins was unexpectedly stillborn, I remember having a colleague tell me it was so wonderful that my daughter was in heaven with Jesus. Last, one of the chaplains with whom I've had the pleasure to work told a family member of a patient (when he said, "I don't need a chaplain," she said "I'm not a religious chaplain.
