In the event you are absence, it is your responsibility to fill out your daily log/entry tasks for missed days. You will find missed entry tasks on TEAMS. It is your responsibility to fill one out and complete missed work to receive credit.

HALL PASSES

When leaving the class for any reason put your phone in the Phone Caddy, and fill out a pass. When you return return in the pass and take your phone.

LEAVING CLASS

HEADPHONES

Headphones are available for check out if you are in need of one. It is your responsibility to check them in and out. The checkout sheet can be found on the table.

LATE WORK

Work turned in late after two weeks of the due date can only receive half of the original grade. It is imperative that your work is turned in on time. You will be given extra time to complete work for excused absences or students on IEPs. When you submit late work, you must fill out a LATE ASSIGNMENT SLIP and turn it in for me to grade it.

TEST RETAKES

You will also have one opportunity to retake a test/quiz within two weeks of the original test. The better of the two test/quiz scores will be put in the gradebook. You must fill out and submit a REDO Assignment slip when retaking a test/quiz.

TURNING IN ASSIGNMENTS

You will find the class turn-in basket on the back counter for paper assignments or REDO and LATE ASSIGNMENT SLIPS. Other assignments will be submitted on TEAMS or SAVED to the O: Drive for grading.

ASSIGNMENT REDOS

You will ALWAYS have an opportunity to REDO assignments for a better grade within two-weeks from the date it was graded. You must fill out and submit a REDO Assignment slip when resubmitting assignments.

DAILY LOGS/LEADERSHIP POINTS

Daily logs are expected to be filled out daily at the beginning of class recording the daily assignments and daily points. They are turned in at the end of week for daily class points. You are responsible on Fridays to complete your Leadership and Employability Skills Points before you turn it in. Leadership points are worth 10% of your overall class grade. It is your responsibility to keep track of your Leadership Card and have it signed when completing activities.

CLASS EXPECTATIONS

My expectation of EVERY student in my class to treat others with respect and kindness in my presence. I live by the “Golden Rule” and showing Kindness is a priority in class. I love rewarding students who are showing Respect, Responsibility, and Kindness to me and peers by awarding class points, hawk bucks (converted into HERO points), positive notes home, student of the week, and student of the month. I follow CHS discipline policy when correcting unwanted behavior in class.

CLASS JOBS/HAWK BUCKS

Students will have class jobs throughout the term and have plenty of opportunities to earn hawk bucks. Hawk bucks are converted into HERO points for school rewards or phone privileges. Students are encouraged to give peers hawk bucks as well.

ENDING OF CLASS PROCEDURES

The class timer will go off when there is two minutes left in class and it is time to get ready to leave.

STEP 1: Save your work.

STEP 2: Indicate a 1, 2, or 3 for your understanding of the lesson on your daily log.

STEP 3: Do not SHUT DOWN your computer, but log out so it is ready for the next user.

STEP 4: Put your folder away in the front crate.

STEP 4: Stay in class until I release you to leave.

LASTLY, Please do not leave until dismissed. If you leave before that, a discipline referral could occur. Thank you!

PHONE/EARBUD FREE ZONE

Leadership Points

Leadership points are worth 10% of your class grade, including your LEADERSHIP CARD. It is SUPER IMPORTANT you are filling it out and turn it in at the end of the term.

Classroom Supplies

CLASS JOBS

Class Jobs include Zone of Regulation Manager, Folder Manager, and Teacher Assistants. They are rotated on a bi-weekly basis.

College Credit Class?

Financial Literacy & Marketing classes are dual credit classes. You can earn 5 college credits if you earn a 85% in the class or higher.
