She was born at Tuskegee, AL and died at Detroit, MI. Parks helped helped the Civil rights movement. Her actions made her a leader because people liked what she was doing. She lost her job because of the bus  segregation was unconstitutional. She helped a lot of people realized what they needed to do.

He was the first African American student to attend at University of Mississippi. There was a time where they tried to block his way to enter the school. He joined the air forces and then he joined Jackson State College. In 1966 he protested a march and he called it a "March Against fear" and he actually got shot but he survived.

He was born at  chicago, IL and he died in Money, MS. He was killed in a racist attack and that caused a civil rights movement. One day there was a saying that Till was harassing a white women but later they found out that she abducted Till and dumped his body in a river. His mother did a speech at his funeral saying how they needed to look at civil rights activists nationwide.

Newton was born on February 17, 1942 and he passed August 22, 1989. He was born in Monroe, Louisiana but he moved to Oakland, California during his childhood. He went to college in Oakland and San francisco. They formed a Black Panther group in 1966 to response to incidents that have happened to them. There was about 2,000 members in the group and he got pretty popular.

He was born in Decatur, Mississippi and he passed in Jackson, Mississippi. He held the first NAACP in Mississippi. He helped organized economic boycotts, voter-registration efforts, and investigated crimes against black people. Evers was assassinated outside of his home and now it's a national historic landmark.
