As far as what it takes to persuade me, I would say it has to be logic and fact based. For example, providing a statistic or data to support a claim. That is enough for me to believe. Inversely, something purely emotional would not work nearly as effectively. Putting it generously, I would place myself at a 2-3. Naturally, fact checking something is a given.

I ensure my mind isn’t ruled by immediately thinking of all the negatives that come with a what’s being advertised before anything else, which in turn makes me far less susceptible to being trapped by it.

I think about things fully before I believe them. I would rate myself a 3 of seeing through the attempts of ruling.

You should understand how some of the rhetorical techniques work and be able to see when other people are using them. Having good judgment and logic also helps. 3

If there's a claim that has strong facts and enough information, it would make me believe it. It has to be with confidence and effort rather than emotional for people's mood to be effected by it. I would put myself around 3 on the scale.

To make sure my mind isn't ruled, I tend to double-check all information given to me and imagine outcomes to a situation. It never hurts to be cautious. I would rate myself a 3 at seeing through the attempts of ruling minds.

I would say that I would scale a 3 on seeing through peoples attempts to persuade me. I need the argument to be well thought out and logical for me to change my mind.

To make sure your mind isn't so easily ruled by the advertising, u should always make u sure is that's what u really need it ? Just don’t trust any advertising at all

Typically to insure your mind isn't ruled you can think of all the possibilities and conclusions of a claim. But this also means you have to take account what you want and what biases you have. To not be ruled you have to have a strong base for your opinions but also have the flexibility to see if you are actually being ruled. I would rate myself a 2 purely because I think people are over confident of how many of their opinions are their own and it's easy to be ruled by people without knowing it.
