Only MDCs can obtain and have the technology to use this type of energy. Other LDCs cannot afford it due to poorer level of economic development. Nuclear fuel is highly unstable; therefore they must be carefully monitored and maintained, or else explosions or accidents may occur where many factory workers may die or be exposed to high quantities of radon, which may cause long-term health problems.
