The Sultan Ahmed Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque, was built in Istanbul, Turkey, between 1609 and 1616 during the reign of Sultan Ahmed I. Designed by architect Sedefkâr Mehmed Ağa, it features a blend of Ottoman and Byzantine architecture and is renowned for its blue Iznik tiles. The mosque has undergone several restorations, particularly in the 19th and 20th centuries, to preserve its structure and beauty. Today, it remains an active place of worship and a major tourist attraction, symbolizing Istanbul's rich history and architectural heritage.

4o

Inside the Mosque itself, no feasts or festivals are celebrated. This is because it is known to be a place of worship and prayer, maintaining a sacred environment. However, some festivals are celebrated just right outside of the mosques, such as Eid al-Fitr (Ramadan Feast), Ed al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifices), and Mawlid al-Nabi ( Prophet Muhammad's Birthday). These festivals are seen to be with great significant religious and cultural activities throughout the town of Instanbul.
